Efficient Solution to Password-based Key Exchange for Large Groups

چکیده
This paper presents an efficient solution to key exchange problem for large groups in the password-based scenario. Our scheme can combine existing group protocols to get a hybrid group key exchange protocol which is efficient in terms of both computation and communication. And the resulting protocol allows users to securely join and leave the group at any time—the so-called dynamic case. For dynamic group communications, we propose an efficient keyupdating algorithms so that the group key is only known to the members of the newly formed pool. Furthermore, our proposal does not introduce new idealizing assumptions or high entropy secrets for authentication.

متن کاملPassword-authenticated cluster-based group key agreement for smart grid communication
Several multi-party systems supporting groupand cloud-based applications have been proposed in the context of Smart Grid. An important requirement of these systems is that the devices/parties need to communicate with each other as members of a group. In this paper, we present an efficient group-key (GK) management scheme aimed at securing the group communications, for instance, from the utility...
متن کاملAn Efficient Password Security of Multi-Party Key Exchange Protocol based on ECDLP
In this paper we have proposed an efficient password security of multiparty Key Exchange Protocol based on Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem. Key exchange protocols allow a group of parties communicating over a public network to establish a common secret key called session key. Due to their significance by in building a secure communication channel, a number of key exchange protocols ha...
متن کاملUniversally Composable Password-Based Key Exchange
We propose and realize a definition of security for passwordbased key exchange within the framework of universally composable (UC) security, thus providing security guarantees under arbitrary composition with other protocols. In addition, our definition captures some aspects of the problem that were not adequately addressed by most prior notions. For instance, it does not assume any underlying ...
متن کاملRelatively-Sound NIZKs and Password-Based Key-Exchange
We define a new notion of relatively-sound non-interactive zero-knowledge (NIZK) proofs, where a private verifier with access to a trapdoor continues to be sound even when the Adversary has access to simulated proofs and common reference strings. It is likely that this weaker notion of relative-soundness suffices in most applications that need simulation-soundness. We show that for certain lang...
